Confessions

Confessions are heard beginning thirty minutes prior to weekend Masses and at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at St. Benedict Church in Auburn.  Appointments may also be made.

 

Baptism of infants and young children

Please contact the parish office to schedule a baptism.  Father James or Deacon Rick may also be contacted.  Prior to the Baptism, parents must submit the Baptism questionnaire, take a Baptism preparation class and choose godparents.  Prior to the Baptism, one godparent is required to complete the eligibility to serve as a godparent form if he/she is not a registered parishioner of Sacred Heart.  Click on the links below for the forms.

Anointing of the Sick

If you or a loved one is in need of this sacrament please contact Father James at (217) 438-6222 or (217) 438-6196.

Marriage

Those preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage are required to contact the parish office at least six months before a proposed marriage time.  

 

Right of Christian Initiation for Adults (R.C.I.A.)

If you are a non-Catholic and are interested in being Baptized or if you are a Baptized Christian and are interested in coming into full communion with the Church, please contact Deacon Rick.  Sessions begin in the fall.

First Communion & Confirmation

If you would like to enroll your child in the parish faith formation program for the youth in order that he/she may be prepared to receive the sacraments, please contact Becca Yemm who is the program coordinator for our parish.

Sacramental Certificates

If you were Baptized or received other Sacraments at Sacred Heart and are in need of a certificate, please contact the parish office.  If you were baptized or received other Sacraments at St. Catherine Church and are in need of a certificate, please contact the Catholic Pastoral Center at (217) 698-8500 and ask for the Archives Office.
